Horsepower House started with a simple frustration: there was nowhere online that properly showcased tough street cars and high-performance builds — and let you list them for free.
Why we started
If you've ever tried to sell a modified car, you know the drill. You list it on a big general marketplace, and it gets buried between family SUVs, ute trays and lawnmowers. The mods that cost you thousands get squeezed into a one-line description, and the buyers who'd actually appreciate the build never see it.
On the flip side, if you're hunting for a genuine street car — a cammed V8, a turbo import, a tidy HSV or FPV — you end up wading through pages of stock commuters, or paying to play on sites that charge sellers just to be seen.
We thought that was rubbish. So we built Horsepower House: an Australian marketplace made specifically for performance and modified cars, where listing is free, the specs that matter have a proper home, and every car gets in front of people who get it.
