Horsepower House (horsepowerhouse.com.au) is an online marketplace for modified and performance street cars, operated by Established Agency ("we", "us"). We are an online-only business.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Account details: your display name, email address and password (stored encrypted — we never see it).

Profile and listing details you choose to give us: phone number, suburb, state, postcode, avatar, vehicle details, photos, price and descriptions.

Messages and enquiries you send or receive through the site.

Technical data: device and browser type, pages viewed, listing views and approximate location derived from your IP address.

To run your account, publish your listings and connect buyers with sellers.

To deliver messages and enquiries, and notify you about activity on your listings.

To keep the marketplace safe — detecting scams, fake listings, spam and misuse.

To improve the site, and to send service emails. We only send marketing if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Your listings, display name, suburb and state are public. Your phone number is only shown if you turn on "Show phone number on listing". Your email address and postcode are never shown publicly.

Photos you upload may contain number plates or location data — check them before you post.

We don't sell your personal information.

We use trusted service providers to host the site, store data and images, and send email. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia; we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it to an equivalent standard.

We may disclose information where required by law, to law enforcement investigating fraud or theft, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and remember your saved cars. We may use analytics to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may stop working.

We use encryption in transit, access controls and secure hosting to protect your information. No online service is 100% secure, so use a strong, unique password.

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to meet legal obligations. Deleted listings and their photos are removed from our storage.

You can view and update most of your details from your dashboard. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.

If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be flagged on the site or by email.
